CoConspirators Brewing & Blackhearts & Sparrows The Brewer 2023

Now in its second year, The Brewer is a collaboration between CoConspirators and Blackhearts & Sparrows which sees the duo celebrate the women who challenge stereotypes in beer and brewing. In 2022, the beer was a West Coast IPA but for 2023, malt plays more of a starring role.

The rye in the amber ale immediately brings distinct spice against a slightly rich backdrop of caramel and sweet biscuit. But malt is by no means the entire story, with Galaxy and Citra hops also providing ripe orange and passionfruit notes with further tropical tones. What's more, if you'd like to be among the first to try The Brewer and meet some of the people challenging stereotypes in the Australian beer industry, then head to Perrys in Collingwood on March 5.
