Lovers of Beerfarm’s beers are in for a treat in the shape of a pair of limited releases of contrasting character. As you'd expect from the name, WA XPA leans to the lighter side with a profile fine-tuned for West Aussie drinkers, built with a recipe featuring 100 percent locally-sourced pale malt and Beedelup, Victoria and Nugget hops from Karridale Hop Farm.
It's a clean celebration of fresh hops: an earthiness meets cut grass, passionfruit and stonefruit, none of which are overbearing, all supported by a gentle, piney bitterness that contrasts the light body of a beer destined for easy consumption.
Existing in another part of the style spectrum altogether is Talk To The Palm, an imperial stout laden with toasted coconut, vanilla, cacao, brown sugar and rolled oats. The viscous mouthfeel carries layers of coconut and chocolate in spades, while vanilla and malt-derived sweetness lies in support across a full palate and a long finish.
