This pair of releases from Bodriggy might be quite different from a conceptual point of view but on drinking them, it’s hard not to think of them as falling under the banner of “pint beers for pubs.” If you’re in a place still warm enough to enjoy a sunny beer garden, Bonza Fontana is ready to welcome you (on second thoughts, even if it's cold, just rug up). The Italian pilsner was first brewed for Stomping Ground’s Lagerland Festival and pours crystal clear with a golden straw hue and mixes classic noble hop spice and floral notes with citrus in the shape of mandarin. It’s clean, it’s bitter, it's 5.6 percent: it’s a pint beer.
Meanwhile, if you’re favourite thing in life is enjoying a hearty meal in a cosy pub with a roaring fireplace, Stout might be more suited for you. It’s a very classic approach to the style and provides a mix of dark chocolate and caramel flavours with undertones of roasted barley and coffee. It’s dark, it’s rich, it's 5.6 percent: it’s a pint beer.

If you’re keen on a stout that’s a little less classic and are reading this in time, Bodriggy are launching another stout at their brewery from 5pm on May 6. The brewery has once again teamed up with the chocolatiers at Birdsnake to brew a stout with this year’s release featuring cherry and fig alongside the chocolate.
