Apricot jam is an all time favourite of mine; a spread I love so much that I might try it once a year. Sure, that might sound a little tangled but it's just one of those things that while I love it, I can easily forget that it even exists until there I am, at some stark hotel breakfast, spreading it on my toast and going, "This is what I've been missing out on? I should do this all the time."
It was that thought stream that ran through my mind when I cracked a can of Bodriggy's Drongo Drink; an apricot sour made with some 600 kilograms of the fruit. There's no shortage of jam-like notes to be enjoyed here thanks to the stonefruit showing its rich and tangy side, joined by an earthy layer before a lasting tartness carries on. Until next time, apricot jam.
