Blackman's Brewery Needs More Galaxy

Blackman’s Brewery are always on the quest for more hops and with Needs More Galaxy, they’ve notched up a dozen entries in their single hop series. The Australian hop likely needs no introduction to readers thanks to its rise in Australia and elsewhere but at the same time, this beer seems to show a different side to the green wunderkind.

Sure, there’s plenty of passionfruit and peach at play and some citrus but Blackman’s have enticed some more varied topical tones out of the hop too. Maybe it's because we're a long way from summer at the time of drinking but as I enjoyed the can, I couldn't help but think about fresh pinnepple and watermelon being sliced and relished with a punnet of mixed berries on the side. Does this beer need anything more than Galaxy? Certainly not.
