Blackman's Brewery's Juicy Banger has shown to be a true stayer - and that's not just because there are so few IPLs readily available to Austrlaian drinkers. Initially brewed as part of a the brewery's Lager Collective series, it was made at a time when few small breweries were making either Euro or hoppy lagers and it's continued to find favour with drinkers and beer judges alike. As a tribute to that beer, Blackman's have turned up the IPL dial to create Juicy Juicy Bang Bang, which is really quite nice to say out loud.
It's a beer that's bigger in every way when put beside the original, thanks to its big tin and its ABV of 7.0 percent compared with 5.8. But while boozier, you'll find the same familiar hop hit thanks to the trio of Mosaic, Falconer's Flight and Amarillo which pack a lot of sweet orange juice, grapefruit rind, resin and tropical that sit against an incredibly lean, clean and bitter backdrop.
