When you have hops in your name, it’s a pretty strong signal of where your passion lies. Sure, Hop Nation brew a broad mix of styles but a good chunk of them have been hop-centric and they were one of the first Australian breweries to buy a ticket on the haze train.
Green Matter? sees them explore the broad world of hop products in one hazy IPA, with Sabro Incognito, Citra and El Dorado Cryo, Talus T 90 pellets and Freestyle SubZero Hop Kief - Mouteka all added. There's a good chance you haven't heard of the last of those but it's been developed by New Zealand's Freestyle Hops and you can read more about it here. That mix of the green stuff provides a whole lot of fragrant tropical fruits, with lychee, gooseberry, guava and mango all piling into the fruit bowl and joined by grapefruit and lime. Although it might be hazy, it's less lush than many modern iterations and instead, the base is a clean palette that lets those pellets and hoppy liquids shine.
