When was the last time you ate a Bounty bar? It was quite some time ago for me, but my memory of it is like 80 percent sticky coconut and 20 percent dark chocolate.
That’s exactly what’s coming through here. Bounty Stout is full of strong coconut - on the nose, in the mouth, and you can just about hear coconut shells clacking together à la Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Then there’s a dark chocolate and slight roasty bitterness coming through, all carried along on a nice slick body.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to stop describing a taste you’re already familiar with and go watch clips of Holy Grail on YouTube.
