It seems they can never squeeze in quite enough hops at Banks Brewing, with further evidence delivered with this double dose of double IPAs.
It’s Gonna Be A Good Day might sound a little presumptuous, but when you see a brewery like Banks bringing together Nelson Sauvin, Citra (in both pellet and Cryo form) and Sabro hops then there’s every chance it’ll bring a swathe of hoppy goodness. The big, smooth and altogether fluffy beer is filled with juicy nectarine, mango, tangerine and coconut – and there's a dank touch that makes itself known too. Do you like hazy IPAs and West Coasts? Then you’re gonna have a good day.
Or, if you’re more interested in something chewy, there’s Ready & Super Siked: a red double IPA. Here the hops are Galaxy, Simcoe (a mix of pellets and Cryo again) and Cryo Centennial, which come across heavy on grapefruit, pine, resin and passionfruit. On the malt side of things, there’s a rich combination of caramel and toffee that’s balanced by roasted elements and a slightly bitter bite.
