The beer fairies at Banks are back playing in the realm of lagers again, doing so in a seasonally appropriate manner with their Fairly Traditional Vienna lager, in very traditional livery compared to the rest of their lineup.
If you want the shortcut as to what to expect, imagine Lotus Biscoff biscuits turned into beer. The longer version? Fairly Traditional pours a clear, light chestnut colour from which I picked up some nutty nougat aromas, cola without the overt sweetness of some brands, something floral, currants and a carbonation-plus-pH-derived textural cleanse. Fairly traditional and fairly yummy too.
