Banks Brewing Foam Pilsner

Ask any number of Banks' most avid fans to name what they love about the brewery, or indeed their favourite of all of their very many beers, and you'd expect their hefty hazies or even heftier pastry stouts to feature highly. Yet Foam has a special place in founder Chris Farmer's heart, and with good reason too: it's one heck of a pilsner, and a sign that his steady release of lagers in a variety of forms over the years has been a fine education.

Built upon a base of floor-malted pilsner malt and featuring classic German lager hops, this bright, straw-coloured, white-foamed pilsner delivers floral, bready aromas atop a cracker-like character that’s sweet and crisp, aided cleansing acidic kick. A touch of herbal hop flavour and a broad, earthy bitterness make for a nicely-honed classic.
