When a brewery starts posting about a beer on socials a month before it’s ready for release, you know they’re excited about it. New England’s excitement for Hop Pressure is well founded.
This glowing orange hazy is like a Bellini in a beer. Thanks to a load of whole Galaxy hop cones from HPA’s 2021 harvest, with some Cashmere mixed in for good measure, it’s one of the juiciest beers I’ve had in a while. The label description puts passionfruit front and centre, but I found that Galaxy’s peach notes came to the front for me – a mouthful of juicy peach with a fluffy body. There’s a spattering of bitterness, but the balance certainly leans more towards sweet and soft, making this luscious 6.8 percent ABV beer devastatingly deceptive.
