Holgate Brewhouse GateKeeper

There's no stopping them at Holgate these days, it seems. Founder Paul has been jetting around the world absorbing all he can on the science side of brewing and is investing in the lab side of his Woodend brewery, they've added more taps to their brewpub bar and are producing all manner of new small batch and experimental beers.

One of the latest additions to the small batch lineup is the GateKeeper, the brewery's stab at an increasingly popular style among microbreweries on these shores: the full-flavoured midstrength. The hazy golden 3.5 percenter is described as possessing a "full bouquet of citrus and stone fruits (apricots in particular)" with a "light, spicy and zingy" palate, "bags of refreshing citrus" and "a firm, clean bitterness that leaves you ready for more."
