I hear "pale ale" and "Galaxy hops" together, and my brain immediately goes to a certain popular Australian craft beer that’s pale yellow and known for its passionfruity aroma. But 3 Bolt is a different kind of pale ale.
To the eye, this is a beer with light copper tones striking throughout the liquid and capped with uneven white froth that looks like the tops of clouds. There’s a depth of malt character that brings some toffee and biscuit sweetness, which interacts with the hops – Mosaic and Galaxy – to make the citrus, passionfruit and mango flavours taste full and rounded.
It’s kind of American. It’s kind of Australian. It’s kind of delicious.
