Dainton Beer Blackwork

Dainton Beer are never going to miss an opportunity to brew a new IPA or something dark for winter and here they’ve done both at once with Blackwork. The double black IPA is a collaboration with their mates at the nearby tattoo studio, Addikted To Ink Frankston, with the artwork by Tony Pepperoni (we can neither confirm nor deny if that’s his real name).

It features Columbus, Strata and Mosaic that bring a whole lot of pine, resin and chocolate orange. Add in dark roasted notes, toast, licorice and chocolate and you have a beer that’s as bold as a fresh sleeve by Mr Pepperoni and would be a pretty good companion to a slice of pepperoni too.
