Do you remember those days? In Melbourne at least, 2020 was a year of daily press conferences people couldn’t look away from, Tiger King (which people couldn't look away from), and a lack of toilet paper that is still, frankly, a little weird. But the COVID apocalypse also brought a constant stream of limited releases and inspired Dainton Beer to brew some juicy, heavily-hopped Apocalypso beers.
Now that it's 2023, we’ve all moved on: Joe Exotic is yesterday's man, Joel and Ellie have our eyes locked on The Last of Us as though we didn't just live through a pandemic, and we just ignore all the deaths from COVID. And when it comes to the Apocalypse – part III, the year has also brought Dainton's Post Apocalyptic Zombie Tiki NEIPA in which, unlike the grim reality of most zombie media, these have enjoyed a holiday.
The good times are brought by Citra (in both Cryo and more traditional forms), Sabro and Hallertau Blanc, which set orange juice, mango, pineapple and a slightly fresh fruit tang upon you within one slick hazy.
