The Rising sees Rocky Ridge brew for Line in the Sand, an organisation committed to restoring WA’s south west coastal areas. It's the partners' first collaboration, with Rocky Ridge acting on behalf of the SW Brewers Alliance, and acts simultaneously as a launch for their brand and a fundraiser: all profits will help fund the revegetation/replanting of Toby Inlet.
The beer falls in the hazy category and, more specifically, is a new world hazy pale loaded with all Australian hops that emits massive tropical and stonefruit aromatics. On the palate, those stonefruit characters seem even more dominant, while the modest 4.5 percent ABV ensures drinkability is peaking. A creamy mouthfeel adds to a lengthy finish that carries pine, peach and citrus after each sip.
The Rising is a modest beer that exhibits great Aussie hop character and, as an added bonus, purchasing it contributes to the care and revegetation of the South West’s stunning coastline. Win-win!
