The last time Eagle Bay dropped Yacht Rock it was warmly embraced by WA punters, and its second appearance is on its way to a similar reception, following a clever recipe tweak that's seen a boost in Cryo hop additions without any increase in bitterness.
For those uninitiated with said beer, Yacht Rock is a sessionable sour IPA: the ABV is low (4.5 percent ABV) and the IBU even lower. Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe make up the hop bill and lend generous aromatics without overshadowing the tart yet clean body, itself derived from an overnight lactic ferment prior to primary fermentation. A touch of rye and acidulated malts in the grain bill enhance the tartness and add a touch of spicy aromatics too.
Once again, Yacht Rock is a limited offering from the team at Eagle Bay, so up anchors and get on board before it sails on by!
