Bridge Road Brewers are keeping two of their favourite limited release ranges rolling for 2024, with the brewery’s Sour series and exploration of all things IPA back. Starting on the tart side, Pass-O-Guava Sour takes passionfruit, orange and guava and introduces them to salt with those gose stylings providing a minerality that balances out the sweet raft of tropical and citrus fruit flavours while a light tartness keeps the refreshment coming.
Then there is the New Day IPA lineup and Phantasm Hazy which might not contain the literal fruits of it’s sour companion, but where you’d be forgiven for thinking it does. Instead, it utilises Mega Moutueka, which has been enriched with thiol-pushing powder brewers here (and everywhere else for that matter) are falling in love with, alongside Nelson Sauvin and a house favourite of Bridge Road, Enigma. Tuck in and you'll find a lush mix of kiwifruit, gooseberry, zesty grapefruit and a lengthy dry finish.
