Having launched in 2005, Moo Brew are not just pioneers of Tasmania’s craft beer industry but have been making beer for longer than many on the mainland too. Having a history doesn’t mean you can rest on your laurels, however, and in 2021 a desire to innovate and do things a bit differently saw the brewery create a sibling brand to the wider Moo range.
BREW by Moo Brew (try saying that ten times fast), is a sub-brand that’s probably best understood when you see the tagline of “Don’t Overthink It”. In other words, the lineup is all about easy-drinking or sessionable beers, and what better way is there to launch a series like that than with a humble lager? Tassie Lager is clean, lean, has the softest touch of noble hops aroma, and is mildly bitter. In other words, it's intended as a fridge-filler – heck, the blue can might even remind you of another fridge-filling beer from Tassie's south...
