Wolf of the Willow’s terpene quest has reached volume four with the next entry in the series taking the shape of Super Lemon Haze. The hazy pale was made with Galaxy, Eclipse, Mosaic and Citra on the hop front and Limonene, Terpinolene and Caryophyllene when it comes to botanically-sourced terps in order to mimic the cannabis strain the beer was named after. It’s not just any strain too, with the Super Lemon Haze having twice won the Cannabis Cup which is the weed equivalent of any of beer awards that you might follow more closely.
Alongside those hops and terps, the Wolf brewers used wheat and oats to create the hazy pale’s soft and quite creamy body while the beer is heavy on lemon notes that are zesty and a little more lolly, or even cordial-like. But far from being a one-trick pony, there are also some soft tropical nuances and a dank side to be enjoyed too.
