This fruited, refreshing sour is inspired by the kettle-soured Catharina sours of Brazil, featuring blackberry and candied violet petals that not only add an attractive, vibrant purple hue but also floral notes that pair well with the sweet/sour blackberry character and sharp, cleansing acidity. A modest ABV and a light body boost drinkability; serve ice cold and this is a sour susceptible to rapid dissipation.
One of many new releases for Black Brewing in 2023, this is well equipped to hit the spot as summer nights become lengthier and days warmer.
