Inner North Brewing Big Red

At 7.0 percent ABV, Inner North Brewing's Big Red could easily be considered a red IPA. But the Brunswick brewery have shied away from such names for a key reason - it's not all that hoppy.

Sure, the East Kent Goldings, Columbus and Cascade contribute bitterness balance and a piney and earthy touch but this isn't some tropical juice bomb or citrus carnival. Instead, it's a big red ale where caramel, raisons and sticky jam all come together to make for a rich and malt-led beer that's more Irish than American and a suitable friend for whenever the weather drops.
