Avnge Brewing’s grippy and resinous train rolls on with the arrival of version three of their heavily-hopped series, Hella Dank! The double IPA is all about Mosaic, Simcoe and Strata with the last of those getting a particularly special showcase thanks it it being added not once, not twice but thrice during the brewing process.
If you like your IPAs to be a little old school then you’ll find a lot to love here, with the heavily dank aroma and flavours so present, you’d wonder if a sniffer dog might be drawn to the can. If it was, it would also find grapefruit, herbal notes and an earthy quality that meets a sustained bitterness which in turn is balanced by a slight sweetness and some spice thanks to the cystal and rye malts.
