7th Day Brewery are back with the blessings from their limited release Making Waves series, and have us ready to head off to church (the pub).
On the starting line is beer number five in the gang, Conspiracy Theory: an oat cream IPA pouring a topaz delight with juicy sensations. Considering this is an oat cream, the juicy body reaches homeostasis with a hoppy finish refreshing the palate, turning away from milkshake IPA territory yet maintaining a velvet mouthfeel. At 6.3 percent ABV, it could suit a sesh with friends where you argue which is scarier: aliens or Elon Musk?
The sixth addition to Making Waves is an ode to Bavarian wheat beers, perfect timing with Oktoberfest shenanigans very much upon us. Hey Weiss Guy possesses a golden haze reminiscent of the European exchange student in high school that had all the girls swooning over his long blonde hair. The froth tipples away like disposable income and, at 5.9 percent ABV, eases any jealousy that comes from watching yet another friend’s European holiday story posts. Banana and clove notes lovingly say, "Hello!", before it finishes with a citrus twist that's both refreshing and will cleanse any sins from the weekend.
