Bridge Road have long called Beechworth home and soon they'll have a second brewpub in Melbourne's inner city suburb of Brunswick.
Ahead of their imminent opening, they're hiring both a chef and a sous chef.
Job Description: Sous Chef
After 18 years as Victoria’s favourite regional craft brewery venue, we’re opening the first ever Melbourne outpost of Bridge Road Brewers. We’re looking for a Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding dining experience that reflects our existing offering in Beechworth but evolves and elevates it for this exciting new venue.

We are located in East Brunswick Village, a new development on Nicholson St. EBV will house not only our 350-seat brewery venue, but a cinema, fine dining, food and retail. Our hospitality offering will be a central part of this exciting new precinct in the Inner North.
We’re only 5km from the CBD with transport links close including the 96 tram at the front door, and Merri Creek Trail and trains, buses and freeway access all nearby. There’s a combination of undercover and free street parking surrounding the site. It’s an easy place to commute to no matter where you live in Melbourne.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident chef in a busy service. You’ll understand what means to develop a kitchen team. You’ll nurture a strong and vibrant kitchen culture. You’ll be driven, detail orientated, collaborative, creative and open.
In a technical sense you’ll:
- Be proficient in all aspects of kitchen operation.
- Have experience in a comparative role.
- Possess high level problem-solving and communication skills.
- Be able to implement, maintain and manage systems and software.
- Be aware and engaged with dining trends.
