JOB DESCRIPTION: CASUAL PACKAGING ASSISTANT & DELIVERY DRIVER

Blending Melbourne's lively funk with the artistry of German brewing, Burnley Brewing is a thriving, independently owned Melbourne brewery with a brewpub in Richmond and production brewery in Dandenong. The last 18 months have seen a significant expansion of our Dandenong site and we are now looking to expand the team.

About the position

We’re looking for a mechanically-minded and enthusiastic casual packaging assistant/delivery driver who will be able to cover warehousing and deliveries between canning and kegging responsibilities. From preparation of packaging consumables to management of the depal, labeller, clip applicator and pasteuriser, this role requires someone who can be both dynamic and precise, while representing us with pride.

About you

We’re looking for someone who can fit into our small team like a glove - working with the packaging team and taking instruction from the brewing leadership team. We desire a candidate with excellent communication skills and who can follow instructions exactly, while still being able to take initiative and work independently. Responsibilities

  • Management of depalletiser, in-line labeller, automated clip applicator during canning runs
  • Preparation, management and stocktake of packaging consumables
  • Keep the packaging area and warehouse obsessively clean
  • Operation of electric forklift
  • Management of finished goods, preparation of orders for sales team and deliveries
  • Management of water bath pasteuriser, stacking of cages, packaging of pasteurised stock
  • Follow safe work procedures
  • Problem solving when mechanical problems arise
  • Conducting deliveries for taproom and sales teams when not required in packaging
  • Operation and CIP of keg washer/filler and expanded cellar roles for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Flexibility with shift work
  • Manual car license
  • Valid Australian forklift licence preferred
  • Previous packaging or warehouse work a bonus
  • Can’t be allergic to dogs

This is a 4-5 day per week role that requires flexibility and may consist of long days. Hours will vary between 7am and 7pm.
