We are a family run brewery who are embarking on a period of significant growth and we’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and creative person to join our brewing and bar team at Beer Fontaine.
To be successful in this role you will have strong practical skills, good decision making and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering, or a willingness to learn. An RSA and driver’s license is a requirement to perform this role. Canning experience is also highly regarded but not essential. This is a multipurpose role and involves bar work, candidates must be strong, confident people who can deal with people in fun and friendly way. This role will work in conjunction with the whole team at Beer Fontaine to ensure the internal bar operations are seamless.
Key capabilities we are looking for:
- Assisting throughout all stages of the fermenting and brewing process
- Record ingredients accurately at the direction of the Senior Brewer
- Wort production (handling, and data entry)
- Inventory Management
- Keep accurate records of stock of raw materials and ingredients.
- Maintain strict health and safety requirements and high standards of sanitation throughout the brewing department.
- Maintain and assist in the effective running of the brewery plant and machinery.
- Ability to support the management team in creating a positive venue experience, maintaining high standards with venue presentation, and ensuring the venue is operational compliant.
- Must be organised and able to deal with high-pressure situations.
- Must exhibit loyalty, honesty, and moral fibre.
- High paced individual who understands how to deliver great customer service.
- Experience in cash handling, running shifts and opening/ closing venue is also highly regarded.
Evening shift, rotating roster and weekend availability is required.
