A recent trip out east to the Yarra Valley saw the Carwyn Cellars team make a beeline for Lilydale's little local brewery, Hop Hen Brewing.
There, they got busy in the brewery, lifting malt sacks, wrangling hoses, adding hops and working out muscles they probably forgot they had as they created a hoppy new collaboration. (We can't confirm whether they stuck around for the cleaning...).
Fast forward to this Friday and the beer, an old-school styled West Coast IPA called 'Free Range', will be getting its launch at Carwyn Cellars. Given the Hop Hen team will be making the reverse trip to be in the coup to share a beer or two, the bar will be using the occasion to showcase a handful of other Hop Hen beers:
- Hop Hen - Pale Ale
- Hop Hen - Mango Tango Sour Ale
- Hop Hen - Smoked Porter
- Hop Hen x Carwyn Cellars - Free Range WCIPA
Taps will be locked and loaded from midday, with the new beer also available in cans for takeaway.
