First brewed waaaaay back in 2013 to mark the brewery's 1000th batch of beer, Holgate's Millennium Falcon 'Emperial IPA' has become a firm fan favourite. This year, as part of the brewery's 25th year celebrations, they're having a party to officially launch the 2024 Millennium Falcon at the Mt Macedon Hotel.
Given it's the most Star Wars-y day on the calendar, May the fourth is the obvious choice for launch day, and the beer will be pouring on tap along with several other highly limited '25 Years of Beers' releases.
There'll be a happy hour running from 4-6pm, DJ Disco Dan will be spinning vinyl most of the day with an "illuminating space theme", and there'll be hourly raffles between 6-8pm with prizes including Holgate beer, merch, and Star Wars memorabilia.
And if you bring the kids along early (1-4pm), there'll be a colouring competition with Star Wars Lego as prizes.
Entry is free all day, and all are welcome.
