We’ve come to expect such big flavours from One Drop that it’s always a delight to be reminded they do a great job of sessionable nuance as well. And unlike the Double Vanilla Possimpible Custard Pancake Volkswagen Imperial Nitro Turducken Thickshake IPA, which hasn’t yet made it into the core range for ongoing consumption, this Hazy Pale Ale has secured a place in said lineup.
A luscious golden glow makes this hazy a feast on the eyes, but try not to get stuck there – the whoosh of hop aroma and flavour from the "Tri-Hop combination" is where the enjoyment really hits. The rolling hills on the label hint at the rounded and rolling smoothness that the generous oat addition brings to the mouthfeel†, and there’s not an iota of astringency to get in the way. With full-on haze and full-on flavour, this is tropical juice (if tropical juice had less sugar and more fizz).
