The "magic sticks" that Norwegian farmhouse brewers used to stir their wort may not have been magic in the traditional sense of the word; it just so happens they were caked in yeast from previous brews, so they kickstarted the fermentation process in the new batch. But if turning grain water into beer isn’t at least magic-adjacent, I don’t know what is.
Magic Stick pours bright orange and gives off all the fruity aromatics you could want from a session pale ale. The Galaxy and Vic Secret hops throw in stonefruit, the Kveik Voss yeast throws its citrus into the mix - thanks again, Norwegian farmhouse brewers - and the chit malt adds a slight cereal note in the mouth.
With a light body, soft bitterness and fairly chilled out flavour, this midstrength brings together Australia and Norway* to make its own magic.

*The can design is another way this beer recalls those Norse brewers of old, but please don’t ask me what those pointy letters say.
