Hottest 100 Aussie Beers of 2014 Results

The countdown is complete! Congratulations to Feral Brewing for yet another top spot with its awesome Hop Hog India (or not India) Pale Ale and to 4 Pines for sneaking ahead of Little Creatures to break up the top three.

We've got a detailed breakdown of the results in words and digits here and have also created an infographic highlighting some of the stats and trends here (thanks, Mrs Crafty Pint NSW).

The biggest ever vote has produced what is probably the most colourful top 100 yet, a mix of many styles, heaps of new faces, some old faces some grand achievements and also a solid number of beers from the big boys.

Thanks to The Local Taphouse team for having the foresight to launch this poll seven years ago; it really is growing into quite the celebration. Thanks also to Brews News for helping publicise the poll, to the 60-odd venues for getting behind the countdown, to the podcasters for covering the event live, to you lot for voting and, most of all, to the brewers for trying to make the best beer they can week in, week out.

We'll be back with a reaction piece from three of the stars of the day tomorrow: Costa from La Sirene, Ian from Fortitude / Noisy Minor and Nat from KAIJU! Beer.

Beyond that, when it comes to getting the nation gee'd up for great Aussie beer, the next big event for us will be Craft Beer Rising on February 28. In the meantime, let the celebrations and conversations continue.
