Here at Crafty Towers, we’re pretty spoiled when it comes to all things beer-related. The beer fridge is almost always overflowing with awesome beers, we get to attend a bunch of cool events around the world and are lucky enough to call most of the brewers and good beer folk of this country friends. So it’s not often that something comes along that causes the little green envy monster to raise its head.
But today that monster has hauled itself out of its hiding place, swum the moat surrounding Crafty Towers, scaled the outer walls and is currently dancing a jig on the turret while blowing the sloppiest of raspberries in our general direction. Why? Because the details of the Ultimate Good Beer Week competition have just been announced and will see one lucky punter and a friend enjoy luxury accommodation in Melbourne, their own chauffeur service, tickets to six amazing Good Beer Week events and present a trophy at the Australian beer industry’s night of nights.
The total prize value is estimated at more than $3,000 and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to sign up with Uber – Everyone’s Private Driver using the Good Beer Week promotion code goodbeerweek2013 and get creative with the Good Beer Week logo. And when we say “get creative”, you can do what the hell you like with it (as long as it’s legal). Just provide photographic or video evidence of your endeavours either directly to marketing@goodbeerweek.com or by posting on Facebook and tagging Good Beer Week.
The best submission received before midnight on April 25 will receive the following outrageously awesome prize:
Five nights accommodation at The Blackman luxury hotel in Melbourne from May 19 to 24
Two journeys per day with luxury car service Uber (up to a value of $75 per journey)
A pair of tickets to each of:
The Mega Dega at Virginia Plain – the Good Beer Week Presents highlight Foodie event
- Bizarre Italian Beer Tasting at Prince Wine & Spirits
- “666” Meet the Makers Dinner at the Courthouse Hotel
- Baird Beer Degustation at Ichi Ni Izakaya SOLD OUT
- Australian International Beer Awards Gala Dinner
- AIBA Exhibitor Tasting (not open to the public)
The winner will also get to present the Best IPA trophy at the Gala Dinner on behalf of Good Beer Week.
It’s such a good prize, we’re enquiring about plastic surgery and the possibility of changing our name so we can enter. Failing that, we’ll have to live vicariously through the winner.
To get started, you can download the Good Beer Week logo here (there are both EPS and PDF versions below). Please make sure you have read the terms and conditions thoroughly, which you can find on the competition page on the festival website. Once that’s done, get creative and good luck!
