GBW 2013 On Sale Now

The full program for Good Beer Week 2013 is live and online now. You can head here to check out what lies in store from May 18 to 26 and also, from 9am, purchase tickets to your chosen events. With more than 140 events to choose from, ranging from week-long, walk-in tap takeovers and showcases to exclusive fine dining degustations at some of Melbourne’s leading restaurants, the organisers are confident there’s more than enough to sate anyone’s beery thirst.

We’re delighted here at The Crafty Pint to be involved in a number of the events, including the expanded Pint of Origin series of tap takeovers. This year we have increased the number of Melbourne venues showcasing breweries from around Australia to seven, which means there will be a Victorian and ACT pub as well as the five that were showcased last year. On top of that, there are three regional venues that will be showcasing beers from all over Australia throughout the week and a Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus run by Aussie Brewery Tours to take punters from venue to venue on the opening Saturday.

Physical copies of the print program are making their way around Melbourne and Victoria as you read this, with plans in place to get them to key interstate venues as well. For those that can’t get their hands on one, you can download a high quality PDF from the Good Beer Week website.

In the meantime, check out the brand new Good Beer Week launch video from Commoner*. You can view it below or head to the new Crafty Pint TV section on the website by clicking here, where you’ll find this and heaps of other films documenting our beery adventures.

If you’re in Melbourne today or tomorrow, don’t forget to come and say “Hi!” to the Good Beer Week team, as well as The Crafty Pint, at the Federation Square Microbreweries Showcase in the Atrium from 4.30pm both days. Just look out for the glowing Good Beer Week beacon overhead…

*Apparently there is no future for The Crafty Pint in acting…
