If you pay even the slightest attention to new things happening in the Aussie beer world, you'll have heard about Wildflower. The Marrickville operation specialising in barrels, blending and using native yeasts. And now it's hiring too.


Wildflower is searching for two experienced and passionate individuals to join our team. With each of these positions, you will:

JOB DESCRIPTION 1: CELLAR DOOR MANAGER – FRONT OF HOUSE

We are searching for a hospitality professional to manage and grow our small venue focused on wild fermented beer.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous and relevant experience in hospitality with a focus/interest in beer and wine.
  • Excellent staff and fiscal management skills.
  • A knowledge of and/or a desire to learn more about our beer making process.
  • Concise communication skills.
  • High standards of customer service and attentiveness to customer's needs.
  • A joyful and homely attitude towards hospitality.
  • Strong values of ethics and open-mindedness.

This is a permanent part time position and will require working on weekends.


JOB DESCRIPTION 2: BARREL MANAGER

We are searching for a production professional to manage our growing barrel program. This role requires previous experience working with oak barrels in either beer or wine. Applicants lacking this experience will not be successful. 

The barrel manager will primarily be responsible for keeping track of and maintaining our cellar. The role will also include production work in packaging and blending.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Extensive experience with barrel work and barrel programs.
  • A trained palate and excellent knowledge of local and international beer and wine. 
  • A strong willingness to achieve quality and never cut corners.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong values of ethics and open-mindedness.

This is a permanent part-time position starting at three days per week.
