JOB DESCRIPTION: EXPERIENCED BREWER

Dream of brewing beer by the seaside? Love working with passionate and innovative people? Want creative control in a boutique craft beer company? All this could be yours! We’re looking for a consistent and experienced Brewer to join our small crew to get elbow deep in hops, malt & yeast to brew and develop our epic range of craft beer.

We are looking for someone who has a great interest in recipe design, packaging and brewing process development. Ideally, you will be proficient in all aspects of the brewing process, we do expect you to come armed with proven prowess in most aspects of the brewing production process, this is not an entry level role.

Cupitt Craft Brewers is based in Ulladulla on the sunny south coast of NSW an area known for its amazing beaches, surf spots, lakes and national parks. The brewery operates within a multifaceted business that includes a restaurant, bar, winery, cheese making facility and accommodation. Creativity for craft beer will be well balanced with business acumen and commerciality to ensure the Brewery is run as a successful business.

Our ideal new brewer will display the following;

  • An obvious passion for beer and a complete understanding of the brewing process
  • Experience in a professional brewing position, where creativity is balanced with commerciality
  • A practical approach, with a hands on “can do” attitude
  • A good understanding of all raw materials with experience in production planning, monitoring and forecasting inventory levels
  • Experience in and a love for creating new recipes for beer
  • A passion for talking about beer and sharing experiences and knowledge with staff and customers
  • A natural coach, trainer and mentor of junior staff
  • Posses a diligent and responsible approach with the ability to manage time effectively
  • A good understanding of business, with a flexible approach to hours worked, and commitment to seeing the job through when things get hard
  • A love for the customer
