JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD OF PRODUCTION (NSW)

After humble beginnings in 2008, our range of beers, led by our flagship original Pacific Ale, have gained the attention of drinkers from one end of the country to the other.
To keep our production teams ticking along as we evolve, we have a newly created role of Production Team Leader. Reporting into our Head of Production, this shift-based position has a wide scope of responsibility, leading both brewing and packaging operations and with accountability for team management, plant improvement, process development and production planning.
You’re across it all it in this interesting role:
- Manage and lead the team – including communication, training and coaching for career development
- Production scheduling (across brewing and packaging)
- Resource management – budget, skills, time
- Lead the team on key projects and improvements
- Lead, role model and execute best practice safety across the site
- Support capital project upgrades and plant optimization
- Lead and facilitate live production escalations using best practice problem solving
- Close partnership with fellow rotating shifts
- Support NPD & EPD execution
We’re on the hunt for someone who has:
- IBD Qualifications or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (production/operations etc)
- Proven experience in a leadership role in a production environment, ideally across both brewing and packaging operations
- A passion for process improvement, a keen eye for quality and strong ability to troubleshoot problems in a live production environment
- Previous Experience in breweries is preferred, however strong experience from the FMCG sector may be considered
- Strong systems literacy and learning agility
- Understanding of and fits the Stone & Wood culture
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate well in a dynamic environment
This is a full-time role, covering a shift roster of three days 6am to 2pm, three days 2pm to 10pm and three days off. As this is a leadership role, some flexibility around input and engagement with others across our business is required outside these shift times. It is based at our awesome brewery in Murwillumbah.
