JOB DESCRIPTION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Can you demonstrate a good awareness of Queensland's liquor industry? Have you earned the respect of venue and beverage managers? Do you boast an enviable reputation as being both effective and trustworthy as a liquor sales professional? Do you have at least three years' beer sales experience in Brisbane, preferably in the CBD? If so, you may be our perfect match.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic person to join our dynamic team at Burleigh Brewing. You will work with us to build on our growth momentum as we carve a unique path in Queensland's, and Australia's, craft beer market.

This full-time sales and business development role will be varied. Like all Burleigh Brewing Company roles, this role is not for the faint hearted! We are a high-performance team, working hard to make things happen.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be required to develop strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • able to effectively plan, coordinate and communicate mutually agreed sales objectives within a collaborate workplace environment to achieve sustainable results
  • deliver defined targets and outcomes for both new business and growth in existing accounts
  • effectively execute sales strategies
  • follow established customer management processes and procedures, including call cycles
  • secure new ranging – with a particular focus in the independent, on-premise channel
  • work effectively on strategic business and account planning, in-store merchandising and promotional execution
  • particular focus on the Brisbane CBD – some travel will be required
  • nurture strong customer relationships
  • participate in promotional activities such as product sampling and events / festivals as required
  • maintain accurate records and report directly to our National Sales Manager, while working effectively as a member of our sales team
  • maintain single-minded focus on the product range under the Burleigh Brewing Company banner

You will need to demonstrate proven experience in building long term sustainable business relationships and in successfully delivering – and exceeding - sales targets.

This is a diverse role which will see you operate in the field 5 days per week plus weekend or evening venue / event support work as needed.
