Melbourne's Kooinda is a brewery that's come a long way from its early days on a suburban driveway. It launched a new look and some new beers last year and is now looking to take on reps in Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Kooinda Brewery has produced some of Australia’s greats of the craft beer industry. From our award-winning Black IPA to our staple Traditional Milk Porter, we have had a large influence on the craft beer scene over the past seven years, with no intentions of slowing down.
A BIT ABOUT US…
Kooinda began as the first residentially licensed brewery in Australia. Our award-winning first release – the American Pale Ale – was brewed on a humble 400L handmade brewery. Those early batches made use of the family in-ground swimming pool to cool the beer as it transferred to the fermenter.
As interest and reputation grew, so did the demand for our beers and, in late 2010, we made the move to our current home at 28 Culverlands Street. Since then there have been a few more awards, a few more epic brewing days, a few expansions and a fair few more drinking sessions.
We're proud of what we have. Our mainstays offer something for everyone, from our Golden Ale (a mash up of lager, meets ale, meets hop) as an introductory beer, to our Black IPA for the biggest of hop heads.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Representative
You will be working closely with our management team to help spread the presence of Kooinda throughout the entirety of Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs. We highly value face to face interaction, so you will be required to organise and attend meetings with potential clients to show them our delicious beer.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES…
- Organising and attending meetings with potential clients
- Building friendly relationships and rapport with potential clients and existing customers
- Brand representation within the hospitality and retail sectors
- Reporting progress to management
- Territory management
REQUIRED SKILLS…
- Vibrant and friendly personality
- Good communication skills
- Prior sales experience within the liquor, food or beverage industry
- Active/aware member of the craft beer community
- Loves craft beer just as much as us!!
