JOB DESCRIPTION: FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER - VICTORIA

Bright Brewery is a family owned and operated brewery, bar and restaurant, producing MountainCraftedTM beers in the spectacular alpine town of Bright, Victoria.

Bright Brewery serves great value meals for lunch and dinner (7 days a week), which help showcase our beers when dining in.

Bright Brewery is seeking an experienced hospitality manager to lead our food and beverage operations and team, while representing our values for authenticity, sustainability and active lifestyles.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Operations Manager, and be responsible for hands on and efficient management of all food and beverage services, ensuring a friendly and professional service is delivered and the food and beverage operations run efficiently within financial guidelines.

Skills and attributes required:

  • A proven leader with experience in hospitality/tourism at a management level
  • Demonstrated skills in high standards of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Workforce management and planning experience
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently                                                 
  • Proven ability to work within financial budgets  
  • Experience in menu planning
  • Ability to develop and document operating systems and procedures and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to act ethically and fairly at all times
  • Mature attitude, honest, loyal and exceptional work ethic                                            
  • Computer savvy (POS systems, E-mail, MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate                              

A knowledge of, and passion for, craft beer and brewing is a bonus.

The position will involve evening and weekend hours, as well as working across public holidays.
