BREWING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Stone & Wood is taking a fresh approach to brewing hand crafted beer in one of the greatest places on earth. To support our ongoing growth, we are looking for a passionate and experienced brewing professional to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader looking for that next step in their brewing career. You will be responsible for the evolution and development of the brewing team and processes at Stone & Wood.
Tasks:
- Lead the Brewing Team as a mentor, advisor, facilitator and trainer
- Promoting the professional development of our brewers, ensuring we have a solid talent progression plan and pipeline
- Help oversee the day to day operations of the brewery and drive continuous improvement
- Work with the Head Brewer and Production Leadership Team on NPD and EPD projects, taking the lead on certain projects as required by the needs of the business
- Critically review and assess production practices with a view to streamlining and improving processes as well as the final product
- Implement SOP training and sign off, reviewing and evolving these as required
- Work alongside the Head Brewer to ensure all Brewing KPIs are achieved
- Drive excellence in Operational Standards
- Partake in the Stone & Wood Sensory Program
- Setting and maintaining our training standards, constantly reviewing these against industry best practice to ensure Stone & Wood are at the forefront of craft beer
Requirements:
- Minimum five years working in a production brewery
- Leadership and team management experience
- Deep understanding of craft beer and the brewing process
- Previous experience as a training and development facilitator, or in a training role
- Understands and embraces the Stone & Wood culture
