About us
Phat Brew Club was born from a group of homebrewers that started contract brewing in 2020 before opening the new 450 person venue in West Perth earlier this year. In that time, we have gone from strength to strength, releasing a number of small batch releases which have been well received and picking up several awards including a number of Golds, Silver and Bronze awards at various Beer Shows.
The Team are passionate about making awesome beers that ‘live on the edge’, with innovation and funky ideas being at the forefront of our creations. We are about creating a “culture of good times”, a place where people enjoy coming to work and play.
Our brewery includes a Sparks 10hl system, 6 x 10hl fermenters, 6 x 10hl brite tanks, 3 x 20hl fermenters and 1 x 20hl brite tank.
About the role
The role itself is 38 hours per week to provide support and assistance to the Head Brewer in every stage of making of high quality beers. It is suited to an energetic hands on brewer with a passion for innovation. There is also the opportunity to do bar work should you be looking for full time employment.
Key tasks include:
- Assisting the Head Brewer with daily operations
- Use of the Brewkit
- Cellar work, including beer transfers, kegging, grav readings
- Management Goods In and Out
- Coolroom maintenance and stock control
- Equipment and general cleaning
- Brewery operations
- Working with the brewery software to manage tasks and beer production
Previous experience brewing is desirable.
You will be working within a collaborative team, to drive industry best practice within the brewhouse and develop beers that ‘live on the edge’.
