Job Description: Head Brewer/Distiller
Townsville Brewing Company is looking new Head Brewer/Distiller. The Brewery is in the heart of the city located in the original heritage-listed Post Office building. Under new ownership and management and being in operation since 2001, it is one of the longest-running independent craft breweries in Australia and has very recently commissioned a brand-new distillery. Applicants will need at least two years’ experience in the following list of duties:
- Brewing scheduling and operation, process quality control, fermentation tracking, product quality control, recipe development.
- Bottling process, cleaning, setting up, running, cellaring and storage, maintenance and repairs on machine.
- Distilling scheduling and operation, process quality control, recipe and product development, bottling of product.
- Stock ordering and stock control of both brewery and distillery.
- Maintenance scheduling and hands-on repairs of equipment.
- Team management, sales and marketing input, communication with clients
- Safety and OH&S measures for staff in the use of all equipment and processes.
- Staff training on beer and spirits.
