With ANZAC Day being less about celebration and more about commemoration, the Good Beer Company isn't going crazy when it comes to hosting events on April 25. In fact, both the Keg & Brew and DOG Hotel will be keeping it relatively low key – just good beer, good food and a spot of coin tossing.
The feature beer will be the Two Up Pale Ale from Albatross Brewing Co. in Mordialloc, VIC which has been made specifically using Aussie and Kiwi ingredients. These two venues will be the only ones in NSW pouring the beer and 10% of all profits will go to the Young Veterans organisation.
The menu is going what you might call "Aussie classic" with the likes of Vegemite pie, outback Aussie parma, an All-Aussie burger and plenty more that will only be available for the day. And if you're into fluttering, there'll be two up until sundown.
Look out for plenty more specials throughout the day and prizes including a $200 voucher to spend at The Dog which'll save you from cooking for a while.
