Tasmanian produce has a fine reputation and much of it for very good reason. The only problem (or perhaps saving grace) is that big stretch of water separating preventing the people on the mainland getting at it easily.
If, however, you happen to be in Newcastle then you're as good as there – at least for one night – because the Grain Store is hosting an evening where you can experience a true Taste of Tasmania.
It will be a six course degustation centred around Tasmanian produce, with each course paired with a beer, cider or whisky from Moo Brew, Willie Smith's and Hellyers Road Distillery respectively.
Grain Store's degustations reliably sell out (and often early) so you'd be advised to get in smartly if you want a seat at the table.
