Now in its ninth year, the Otway Oktoberfest is a celebration that features, traditional food, live oompah music, slap dancing, yodelling and a strongest man/woman tower.
But, far from being just a homage to Germany's favourite festival, Oktoberfest at Otway will be a celebration of all things local and beery as it features ten brewers from in and around the local region:
- Prickly Moses
- Red Duck
- Rogue Wave
- Bells Beach Brewing
- Southern Bay
- Cockies
- Flying Horse
- Crowes Nest
- Forrest Brewing
- Bellarine Brewing
There'll be brewery tours and Taste & Talk masterclasses by brewers, as well as a homebrew comp for those keen to show off their own creations (details of the entry requirements can be found here and first prize is $300 worth of homebrew supplies and second place is $200 worth of accommodation, meals and beer so it's worth a crack).
Entry is $15 but there are a handful of VIP tickets on offer too, which includes transport, beer, food, masterclass entry and more.
For tickets and more info, head to the brewery's website: www.otwayestate.com.au
