If you're heading to Bendigo (or indeed are already in Bendigo) for Bendigo On The Hop 2016, get ahead of the pack by starting a day early.
The Cambrian Hotel will be hosting the roving festival's official opening night, on Friday 19 August, when they'll be pouring a heap of beers from brewers participating in the festival proper – so many in fact that they'll be setting up extra taps in the back garden.
They'll also be pulling in a host of local musicians and DJs to get the good vibe going throughout the night, and if you're in need of sustenance a four course meal with matching beers will be on offer (that dinner is almost a separate event-within-an-event, costs $90 and you'll need to book ahead – call 5443 3363 to do so).
