Part feast, part speed dating, part beer education and wholly excellent fun, the Brewers & Chewers evening returns to The Local Taphouse in St Kilda for 2024.
This perennially popular event – hosted by the evergreen Pete Mitcham – has been held for longer than many would care to remember, but is showing few signs of slowing down.
For the uninitiated, the formula essentially has you taking a seat at a table where you'll be joined by a brewer. You'll drink, chat, make merry, then the brewer will jump up and head to the next table, their spot at your table being filled by another brewer. You'll drink again, have more chat, and be a little merrier. This process gets repeated until all the brewers have been at your table, and you've reached maximum merriment.
