Much has been made of the avalanche of administrations and closures in the craft beer world in recent times, but it's nice to remember that more positive business developments are still happening. One such example has been the merger/acquisition of UK brewery Powder Monkey with our own Southern Highlands Brewing and Willie The Boatman (more of which you can read about here).
The upshot is that the three brewers now share resources, which effectively means they brew each other's beer. And from the perspective of a beer venue like the Hopsters Co-operative who like to showcase the interesting things happening locally, that provides an opportunity to showcase a trio of breweries, under the same banner, at the same time.
So it is that on May 10 the Enmore taproom will be hosting a Powder Monkey & friends showcase, featuring beer from the three aforementioned brewers. Corey and Ben from Southern Highlands, plus the inimitable Pat McInerney from Willie The Boatman, will be along for a guided tasting and talk about all things you might want to know about the beers and businesses behind them.
